BJP expels Pawan Singh for Contesting against NDA candidate

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has expelled Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh for contesting as an independent candidate against NDA candidate in the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections.

Pawan Singh had earlier announced his decision to contest from Karakat constituency as Independent candidate.



BJP had given Asansol seat in West Bengal to Pawan Singh but he refused and he filed nomination from karakat as independent candidate on May 9.

It will be a triangular contest in Karakat. NDA has fielded Upendra Kushwaha whereas CPI-ML's Rajaram Singh Kushwah nominated by the Mahagathbandhan will contest from Karakat.

Karakat will go to polls on June 1 in the seventh phase.
