CM Revanth Extends Greetings to TG People on Occasion of Formation Day
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday extended his greetings to the people of Telangana on the occasion of the state celebrating the 10th Formation Day on June 2.
“Telangana, which was achieved by fighting, is entering the eleventh year,” he noted. The Chief Minister remembered the sacrifices of the martyrs who laid down their lives in the struggle for the achievement of statehood. Revanth Reddy congratulated the poets, artists, students, teachers, employees, intellectuals, journalists, lawyers, workers, farmers, women and political party leaders who participated in the Telangana movement over the years.
Revanth Reddy noted that June 2 this year was an important day, as the complete liberation of the Telangana state had been achieved. He said that Hyderabad, which was the joint capital until now as per AP Reorganisation Act, would now become the exclusive capital of Telangana.
He reiterated that the Congress government was committed to the reconstruction of the state in accordance with the hopes and aspirations of the people of Telangana. He assured that the government would restore the democratic atmosphere which was lost in Telangana in the last ten years.
Revanth Reddy said that the Congress government would uphold the trust and confidence reposed in it and provide public governance. He said that the formulation of future plans and new policies had started so that Telangana state became an example for the country in all fields.
