Auto drivers gang rape married woman, arrested
WARANGAL: Three auto drivers allegedly gang raped a married woman on the outskirts of Bheemaram village under Kakatiya University police station limits in Hanamkonda district during the early hours of Sunday.
The woman, a resident of Kishanpura colony, quarrelled with her family members on Saturday and walked out of the house. While walking towards the KU cross road, an auto driver, identified as Rakesh, a resident of Bheemaram village, stopped his auto beside her and asked where she wanted to go. The woman said KU Crossroads and boarded the auto.
While driving, the auto driver called his friends Satish and Sanath, who also boarded the auto. Instead of going to KU Crossroads, Rakesh took the auto towards the outskirts of Bheemaram village. Noticing this, the woman shouted for help. Satish and Sanath threatened her into silence.
They took the auto to a secluded location, where they raped her. Later, they dropped her at a bar and restaurant, a few meters away from Kishanpura colony, where the woman resides, and drove away.
The woman returned home and informed her family about her trauma. They approached Kakatiya University police station and lodged a complaint.
Police registered a case, shifted the woman to a hospital for medical tests and started investigation. They traced the auto drivers within hours and took them into their custody.
