VIJAYAWADA: Polina Sumasree, mother of 13-year-old girl Sivasree who died of cancer, levelled serious allegations on her ex-husband Mada-mshetti Siva Kumar and Vijayawada central MLA Bonda Umamaheswar Rao by saying that she is facing a life threat. Rubbishing Siva Kumar’s allegations of depriving the girl of treatment and eventually saw to her death, Sumasree said it was his plan to kill the girl by not allowing her to sell the house for treatment.

She alleged that Siva Kumar did not want to give legal share of his assets to Sivasree and hatched out a plan to kill her by not providing treatment. “Now he is accusing me of murdering my daughter to cover up his ill-intentions and to malign my character,” she said. “If he was concerned about his daughter he would have come to Sivasree’s rescue or at least to her funeral,” bemoaned Sumasree.  She also refused the claim of Sivakumar of giving gold worth '15 lakh and said she did not receive gold worth even Rs 1,500  from him.

She even alleged that Siva Kumar threatened to kill her to which she claims to have evidence. “He is harassing me to vacate the house with the help of his friend and MLA Bonda Umamahe-swar Rao. She alleged that Mr Umamaheswar Rao’s followers Gajula Prabhu and Gaddam Ravi Kumar have intimidated her.

“Now they are trying to eliminate me as well,” she said and added that if anything happens to her, Madamshetti Siva Kumar will have to bear the responsibility. The police also did not want to listen to her as Siva Kumar enjoys the support of MLA Umamaheswar Rao, she alleged. Had the Suryaraopet police acted swiftly on her complaint, her daughter might have been alive today, she said.

However, inspector of Suryaraopet, G.V. Vinaya Mohan denied the allegations and said they have received the complaint of Sumasree. In her first complaint, she only asked for action on the persons who occupied her house illegally. “When we visited the house, Sumasree was in occupation of the house. We do not have anything to do with it. Later, after the girl died, Sumasree gave a petition to police commissioner D. Goutam Sawang levelling allegations of sexual harassment and murder of the girl for which there was no evidence available as the girl’s body was cremated,” he said.
