Hyderabad: Three members of a family from Hyderabad died on the spot after their car rammed into a truck at Konijerla in Khammam district on Thursday. The victims, P. Rajesh, 34, a pharma company employee, his wife Sijatha, 33 and their son Ashwith, 13, where heading to their native place at Vippalamadaka of Vyra mandal in Khammam district.

Police said the family started from Hyderabad on Wednesday night. The accident occurred when Rajesh who was driving lost control of the vehicle, police said.

Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Two Farm Workers as Tractor Hits Culvert Pillars

Hyderabad: Two farm workers died when the tractor they were travelling in hit the pillars of a culvert and went off the road, at Alwal village, Kesmahpet police said on Thursday.

Keshampet station house officer Ch Dhanunjaya said the mishap occurred when the driver was trying to negotiate a curve. The vehicle was carrying dry grass from Kondur and to Kadthal. S. Narsimhulu, 50, and Ch Ramachandraiah, 45, died on the spot. Driver Kistaiah escaped with injuries.

Tragic Incident: Man's Body Recovered from Well in Hayathnagar

Hyderabad: Hayathnagar police, Disaster Response Force and fire fighters retrieved the body of 35-year-old Mohammed Abdul Razak, a private company employee from LB Nagar, from a well in Hayathnagar on Thursday.

He had slipped into the well where he had gone along with friend on Wednesday. He did not know swimming, his family said.

“He shouted for help while he was drowning. Locals assumed that he was pretending  and were shooting his video on their mobile phones,” a police official said. The video has gone viral on social media. Police have registered a case of suspicious death.

Woman Alleges Rape and Cheating, Engineer Booked in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Shankarpally police booked N. Karthik Reddy, a 24-year-old engineer, for alleged rape, cheating and trespassing after a woman complained that he had cheated her in the name of marriage and left her pregnant.

After the victim gave birth to the baby on May 26, Karthik Reddy claimed that he was not responsible and refused to marry her, Shankarpally police said. The duo had completed their BTech from the same college.

Police quoting from a complaint alleged that Karthik Reddy had raped the victim in her parents’ absence at their house. Her parents approached the police, said Shankarpally inspector V. Prasanna Kumar.

Police said that when the victim became pregnant, she had wanted to opt for an abortion. Karthik Reddy dissuaded her and promised marriage and confined her in a room at his house, police said. Her parents were not aware of this till she delivered.

After the victim gave birth, Karthik Reddy and his father Narsimha Reddy, a realtor, threatened the victim and her family members against lodging a complaint with the police. Narsimha Reddy allegedly said that he would accept the baby if a DNA test proved parentage.
