Telangana: Two steal Transco assets
The police has launched a manhunt for them all over the state.
Hyderabad: Pahadishareef police arrested two men for stealing insulators and conductors worth Rs 6,02,085 on Monday. The stolen material was meant for Telangana State Transco.
The arrested men are Mohd Shakeer Hussain, a 23-year-old driver hailing from Narayankhed in Medak, and Mohd Rafiq, a 35-year-old labourer from Musheerabad.
The absconding persons are Nadeem and Ali, both residents of Musheerabad and Srinu alias Gajji Raiu. The police has launched a manhunt for them all over the state.
“We received a complaint from one P. Kishan Rao, 40, working as project manager for KMV Projects Limited at Fab City on July 20 that a day before the material kept in his office went missing,” said Pahadis-hareef inspector V.V. Chalapathi.
“The missing things were ACSR/Moose conductor 1.65 km, seven 70 KN/SRC insulators, 13 120 KN/SRC insulators, 13 single tension hardware for ACSR moose conductor and single suspension hardware,” the police inspector added.
Based on his complaint Pahadishareef police booked a case under Section 379 (theft) of the Indian Penal Code, arrested the two and sent them to judicial custody.
