Hyderabad: No marriage alliance, sisters end life

The Kacheguda railway police said that the women might have jumped in front of a moving train.

Hyderabad: Two siblings committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train following domestic issues, said Kachiguda railway police on Sunday. 

The deceased were identified as K. Sarika, 35, and K. Rajini, 32, residents of Lal Darwaza in the Old City. 

The police said, “They were allegedly depressed as they did not get any suitable alliance for marriage and were afraid of the social stigma. On Saturday afternoon, both the sisters left their home on the pretext of work. On Sunday morning locals found their bodies on the tracks between Uppuguda and Yakutpura and alerted the railway police.” 

The Kacheguda railway police said that the women might have jumped in front of a moving train. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
