Bengaluru: Parents don’t wish, birthday girl kills self
19-year-old staying at paying guest accommodation hangs self after partying with friends.
BENGALURU: A 19-year-old girl who celebrated her birthday on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday allegedly committed suicide at her paying guest accommodation in Chikkasandra on Monday morning. Aishwarya, who hailed from Haryana, was found hanging from the ceiling of her room at the PG.
She was studying BA at a college in Peenya second stage and was staying at the PG, which is close by. Monday being Aishwarya's birthday, she and her PG friends celebrated from Sunday till early hours of Monday.
After the celebration, her friends went to their respective rooms, while Aishwarya slept alone as her roommate had gone to her home town.
On Monday morning, Aishwarya's friends knocked on her door but did not get any reply.
They tried to call her on her mobile phone, but she did not answer the calls too.
They informed the PG owner, who alerted the Soladevanahalli police, who rushed to the spot and broke open the door to find Aishwarya hanging.
The police informed Aishwarya’s parents and shifted her body to Saptagiri Hospital for post-mortem.
While the exact reason for Aishwarya’s decision to take the extreme step is not yet known, it is suspected that she ended her life as her parents did not wish her.
The police suspect no foul play in her death as the door of her room was locked from inside and she was alone in the room. The police have launched a probe.
