Bengaluru: 7-year-old girl abused in washroom, school quiet

Bengaluru: A 19-year-old diploma student was arrested by the Avalahalli police for sexually assaulting a class two student inside a washroom of a school in Bommanahalli in Bengaluru Rural taluk.

The incident took place on Monday afternoon and the accused, identified as Suman, a resident of Kurubarahalli in Hoskote taluk, was caught red-handed inside the bathroom by the school staff when the victim shouted for help.

The police have arrested the chairperson Muniraju and principal Muni Narayana for not intimating the local police about the incident. According to the police, on Monday afternoon, the accused Suman, who studied at a diploma college next to the primary school, saw the seven-year-old girl entering the washroom and followed her inside. He then allegedly touched the girl’s private parts and masturbated.

The girl screamed following which the school staff rushed to the bathroom and caught Suman red-handed. He was beaten black and blue and was let off.

The girl went home and narrated the ordeal before her mother who lodged a complaint with the police, leading to Suman’s arrest.

How accused entered the school
The school and the college are separated by a wall with a gate opening either side. The washroom can easily be seen from the gate. As there was no security guard, Suman stood at the gate watching the girl enter the washroom and followed her inside. He gagged the girl and began touching her inappropriately while removing his pant and masturbating. The girl screamed out of fear and the school staff rushed to her help.All the three were produced in court and sent to judicial custody.
