Farmer gets 3-year jail for assaulting, abusing woman

Hyderabad: A 45-year-old farmer was on Wednesday sentenced to three years imprisonment for outraging the modesty of a woman.

On March 12, 2014 midnight, the accused, Mallepaka Narsimha, had entered the
victim’s house in Ramannapet village in Rachakonda in her husband’s absence
through the back door, dragged her by the sari and tried to assault her,
Ramannapet police stated.

The victim managed to flee from his clutches and entered another room. The
accused followed her and threatened to kill her if she informed her husband.

Later, the victim along with her husband lodged a complaint with the police
and the accused was arrested.

The JFCM Ramannapet court convicted the accused on Wednesday.

Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh M. Bhagwat and additional commissioner of police G. Sudheer Babu appreciated the efforts of the Ramannapet police and announced rewards.
