Hyderabad:  A software engineer, Nitin Agarwal, who suffered serious injuries when he was hit by a four-wheeler driver, who was drunk in Gachibowli limits on Friday, succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment here on Saturday.

Gachibowli police said that his body was handed over to the family members after post-mortem. Police said that Agarwal and his friend Sanjeet Srivastava were cycling at the Botanical Garden Friday morning. In a case of drunken driving, an Air India cabin crew employee Rajiv rammed his car into the two cyclists, who both suffered injuries.

Police registered cases for negligence causing death against the Air India employee, who was on a joy-ride with his friends.
