Godavarikhani police crack case of murder of rowdy Suman, seven arrested

Warangal: The police on Wednesday arrested seven men who allegedly murdered the rowdy-sheeter Manthani Suman at Gandhi Chowrasta in Godavarikhani town of Peddapalli district on Sunday night.

The seven were D Chandrasekhar (37), V Naveen (23), M Srinu(32), M Swarupa (30), G Ajay Kumar (23), G Shashi (23) and B Anand(45).

Addressing the media at one town police station in Godavarikhani, DCP Vaibhav Gaikwad said a special team investigated the case and arrested the seven persons who murdered Mathani Suman.

Prime accused Chandrasekhar was hiding in a house at 5 Incline colony. The police conducted a raid and took him into custody. Chandrasekhar gave details of the crime, based on which the police arrested three men, Naveen, Srinu and Swarupa at 8 Incline colony, as also Ajay, Shashi and Anand in Anand’s house at Ramagundam.

The police seized three knives, an auto, a blood- stained shirt and a pair of chappals of prime accused Chandrasekhar as also five mobile phones from their possession.
