Hyderabad: Man smothers wife, on run

Hyderabad: A 26-year-old woman was murdered allegedly by her autodriver husband at Vanasthalipuram. The suspect, identified as Sandeep Bunya, had smothered his wife Rani, police suspected. 

According to the police, Sandeep married Rani seven years ago and were residing in Saheb Nagar in Vanasthalipuram.

She had recently quit her job in a private firm to take care of the children. During this period, the couple had been frequently fighting. On Wednesday night too, they had a heated argument which lead to a quarrel that continued till late night. When the children were asleep, Sandeep smothered her and fled.

Inspector S. Murali Krishna said Sandeep was absconding and a hunt  is on to nab him.
