Bengaluru: 26-yr-old drunk biker dies in accident

Bengaluru: A 26-year-old drunk biker died after he lost control over the vehicle while taking a turn and fell off the road in HSR Layout traffic police station limits early Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Janith Kumar Nayak, a resident of Bellandur and hailed from Jharkhand. He was working in a coffee company in Bellandur.
Police said that he was riding the bike along with his friend, Ramesh, 27, who sustained injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
According to the police, the accident took place around 1.30 am on Greenline Layout flyover in HSR Layout, when the two were returning home after a party.
Janith was taking a turn near the flyover, lost control and fell off the bike. He sustained severe head injuries and the passerby immediately rushed him to the nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Police said that Janith was riding the bike in rash and negligent manner and the two were drunk and not wearing helmets.
HSR Layout traffic police have registered a case and handed over his body to the family members after post-mortem.
