Hyderabad: Pub seized for violating rules
The Excise officials registered a case against the owners of the pub and the supplier, Kumar.
Hyderabad: Excise officials have seized Airlive Pub at Jubilee Hills for violating rules. Excise officials said that the pub on Jubilee Hills road no 36 was running on daily permission basis and organised events every day.
Accordingly, the pub management could procure liquor from a supplier and after completion of the event, hand over the leftover liquor stock to the supplier.
Pub owners Mayank, Susheel and Anirudh were running the pub in the prescribed process. “But for the past few days, they were not returning the leftover liquor stock and were storing it in the pub itself,” said excise sub inspector Mohan Reddy.
Based on a tip off, excise officials raided the pub late on Wednesday night in Jubliee Hills. They seized 135 bottles of liquor and 504 beer bottles. The Excise officials registered a case against the owners of the pub and the supplier, Kumar.
