1 killed, 2 hurt in Outer Ring Road mishap
The mishap occurred when the car they were travelling in rammed into a DCM van on the ORR.
Hyderabad: A 27-year-old man was killed and two others received injuries in an accident on the Outer Ring Road under Pahadishareef police station limits on Sunday. The mishap occurred when the car they were travelling in rammed into a DCM van on the ORR. The deceased was identified as Kiran who worked for a private firm.
Inspector Pahadishareef P. Laxmikanth Reddy said that Kiran along with his neighbours J. Jangaiah, 45, his wife J Anuradha, 40, all residents of Hayathnagar were travelling in Kiran’s car (AP 29BB 9125). They were heading towards Maisigandi for a function. They were supposed to take the exit at Tukkuguda and head towards Maisigandi.
Around two kilometres before the exit, Kiran lost control and rammed his car into a DCM van in front of the car. Due to the impact, the front portion of the car got completely crushed and Kiran who was at the wheel was crushed between the bonnet and the steering wheel. He died on the spot. The other two who were seated at the back, received injures. They were rushed to Osmania hospital for treatment and their condition is said to be stable with both of them out of danger now.
An accidental death case has been registered against the DCM driver. “We are inquiring if the DCM driver had stopped suddenly or changed a lane without indication. Based on the evidence, the investigation will proceed,” said the investigating police official.
