Realtor assaults minor, held

Hyderabad: A 32-year-old realtor who lured a 16-year-old girl his wife’s younger sister under the guise of marriage, and sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions in March, was arrested  by the Rachakonda police at Neredmet. 

“The accused identified as Thupakula Ramesh, had even taken the girl without the family’s knowledge and married her in a temple at Yadagirigutta. He later took her to Tirupati and sexually assaulted her continuously for three days,” said Neredmet inspector M Jagadish Chander.

According to the police, Ramesh had married the elder sister and the couple have three kids. Few months ago, Ramesh proposed to her and she refused.

Based on a complaint from the girl’s mother, a case under POCSO was registered. Ramesh was arrested and produced in court.
