Hyderabad: Three thieves nabbed, cash seized

Hyderabad: Chatrinaka police arrested three thieves, including a woman, and seized Rs 2,40,000 from them. 

The arrested people are Onteddu Krishna, 28, a centering worker and resident of Karmanghat, Manga Swaroopa alias Manjula, 31, a labourer and resident of Nizamsagar mandal and Vuddari Raju alias Laddu, 33, labourer and resident of Nizamsagar mandal. 

On July 25, the three burgled a house in Shivajinagar in Uppuguda when the owner, T. Laxmi, a 29-year-old labourer, had gone out for a day. 

“When Laxmi came back she saw that the door of her house open. She found that Rs 2.3 lakh, silver anklets, weighing 10 tolas, two chains and other ornaments worth Rs 2.4 lakh were missing,” said assistant commissioner of police, Falaknuma Division, Mohd. Tajuddin Ahmed

Based on her complaint, a case was registered and an investigation taken up.

“During the investigation CCTV footages were checked and Laxmi identified the suspects. Police tracked their phones. On Saturday morning they were caught by crime staff near the Asmangadh TV tower. Police recovered the stolen property worth Rs 2.3 lakh,” added the ACP.  They were sent to judicial custody.
