2 drug peddlers held with 6 kg ganja in Hyderabad

 Hyderabad: South-east zone task force arrested two drug peddlers on Saturday and seized six kg of ganja from their possession.

In the early hours, the task force along with Kulsumpura police station cops arrested Sunil Singh and Nanda Kishore Singh, alias Kittu when they were waiting for customers to deliver the banned substance.

Accused Sunil, owner of Piyush Pan shop in Jiyaguda, had purchased ganja from Nanda Kishore and was selling it to the customers at his pan shop when he was arrested, police said.

During interrogation, Nanda Kishore confessed that on June 19, he went to Sileru, a village in Visakhapatnam and purchased 6 kg of ganja for Rs 24,000 (Rs 4,000/ per kg) from a villager called Vamshi and returned to city on June  29.

Kishore sold four kg of ganja for Rs 28,000 (Rs 7,000 per kg) to Sunil Singh and kept the remaining two kg in his house at Karwan, Asif Nagar. P. RadhaKishan Rao, deputy commissioner of police (OSD), commissioner’s task force, stated in a press release on Saturday.
