WARANGAL: Two contract staffers on duty consumed alcohol and urinated in the patient area where the other staff was providing treatment to patients at the government hospital in Mahabubabad district on Friday night.

The video of the hospital staff urinating in the dustbin in front of the patients went viral on social media platforms attracting severe criticism from the public against the concerned authorities of the state-run hospital.

The staffers, identified as Krishna and Bharat, who were recruited on a contract basis by Sai Contract Agency, abused and tried to attack a patient for trying to film their act and were heard saying no one could do anything with them.

Shocked at their indecent behaviour, the patients ran out of the hospital and alleged that despite several complaints against the misbehaviour by the contract employees with patients who questioned them, officials did not take action against the accused so far.

Meanwhile, the superintendent of the hospital, Dr Srinivas Rao, removed the two contract employees from service and issued notices to the concerned recruitment agency. He condemned the act and probed an enquiry into the matter.
