Hyderabad: Youth attacks woman for rejecting proposal

Hyderabad: A youngster, identified as Raju belonging to Warangal, has attacked a 23-year-old woman, after she allegedly refused his proposal. The incident was reported under Jagathgirigutta police station of Cyberabad commissionerate in Hyderabad on Friday.

Raju attacked the woman with a knife, injuring her severely, and also harmed himself with the same knife. Both have been rushed to a nearby private hospital and are reportedly out of danger.

Jagathgirigutta SHO K Kranthi Kumar said that Raju was working as an electrician and the woman worked as a teacher in a private school. For the past few months, he was behind her to accept his proposal for love. However, she continued refusing his proposal.

On Friday evening, he attacked and then harmed himself. Alerted by locals, police rushed to the spot and shifted them to the hospital.
