Bengaluru: Man objects to smoking, killed
Ashok Nagar police have registered a case and are looking for the accused.
Bengaluru: A 32-year-old man who objected to smoking by a few drunk men in front of his house was fatally attacked with lethal weapons in Ashok Nagar police limits early Sunday.
The incident took place in Ashok Nagar B Street around 2 am when a procession was passing through the area. The deceased has been identified as Harish.
As the procession passed by, Harish woke up and came out of his house to catch a glimpse of it. He saw some drunk men hanging out in front of his house and smoking. When Harish objected, the men got angry and left in a huff. They later returned along with a gang of armed men, while Harish was still outside his house.
They attacked him with machetes and Harish sustained grievous injuries. He was rushed to a private hospital by his family members, from where he was shifted to Mallya Hospital where he died. Ashok Nagar police have registered a case and are looking for the accused.
