Two friends drown in Haldi check dam

Hyderabad: Two friends who had gone for a picnic drowned in Haldi check dam at Toopran on the outskirts of Toopran on Wednesday, the police told this newspaper. The victims, Farooq,18 and Rohit, 18, both students of Nobel College and residents of Topran village had gone on a trip to the dam along with their friends Likit, Vinay and Adarsh.  “The two entered into the dam for a swim and drowned,” sub-inspector Parshuram said. The police with the help of expert swimmers retrieved the bodies and handed them over to the families after postmortem.
