Allagadda police arrest 3 online fraudsters, recover Rs. 2.71 lakh in cash

Kurnool: The Allagadda police on Wednesday arrested three people who were involved in a cybercrime and recovered Rs. 2.71 lakh in cash, three mobile phones, two gold coins, and an additional Rs. 18,998 held in a bank account.

The accused have been identified as V. Balaji, a resident of Nehru Nagar in Jammalamadugu town of Kadapa district; A. Sreeram, who resides in Bank Colony; and G. Mayab Hussain from Tenkayalachenu street, all within the same town.

According to Allagadda DSP Venkata Ramaiah, the three accused had engaged in fraudulent activities, targeting N. Pedda Fakruddin, a resident of Bachepalle village in Allagadda mandal, Nandyal district.

They hacked into the complainant's bank account and accessed it through cyber technology. They then extracted funds via UPI ID after obtaining the necessary password from the account holder. Further investigations have revealed that these three people have earlier cheated a total of 17 people using similar tactics.
The Allagadda police apprehended the accused at Proddutur Road in Chagalamarri town in Nandyal on Wednesday.
