Hyderabad: Neighbour held in baby murder case
However, the police refused to divulge the details, citing the ongoing probe.
Hyderabad: A neighbour and his son were taken to custody and were grilled by the Uppal police in connection with the baby’s severed head case in Chilukala Nagar. It is alleged that they had conducted a kshudra pooja in their house two days back, when the city witnessed the super blue blood moon celestial phenomena.
It was the dog squad which led the police to the accused. Besides, the police used the clues team to collect forensic evidence from the spot. The severed head of a three’-month-old girl was found on the terrace of a house in Chilukala Nagar, owned by Rajashekar Goud, an Uber driver, said Dr Tarun Joshi, joint commissioner of police, Rachakonda. He, however, refused to comment on the alleged kshudra pooja conducted by the suspect.
“On Thursday morning, Goud’s mother-in-law went to the terrace of the single-storied house and noticed the head of an infant,” said the official.
Narhari, the neighbour, lives with his two sons, Ranjith and Kittu. Nearby residents said that Narhari was worried over his son health. Denying the allegation that the family conducted a kshudra pooja at their house, Kittu said, “We are not involved in the murder. My brother (Ranjith) seems to have some mental issues but we did not do any such thing as everyone is alleging,” said Kittu, and added that on that ill-fated day, he came home around 9.30 pm after work.
However, the police refused to divulge the details, citing the ongoing probe.
