Warangal: Home Guard goes missing

A home guard from Chandrayangutta police station, who was deployed for the Medaram Jathra at Warangal is missing. Md. Ibrahim, 43, has not returned even though his duty ended last week.

Police said Ibrahim was sent for the Jathra on February 14.  He did not return to the police station or report to his supervisors during the last days of the festival at Warangal.Ibrahim's relatives approached Warangal police and lodged a complaint.

"When we tracked his mobile phone it was found that his phone was active till February 20. It was also shown as roaming," said a police official from Chandrayangutta adding that his phone is now switched off.Two other cops who were deployed with Ibrahim said they did not see him coming for duty after February 20.
