Hyderabad: The district consumer disputes redressal commission-I has directed the management of Agro Gold Farm Estates India (P) Ltd, Vijayawada and AgriGold Farm Estates India (P) Ltd. Hyderabad to refund Rs 3, 74, 500 to three customers of a family for not repaying the deposited amount.

Punna Bhunath, Pavan Kumar Chaitanya Punna and Praveen Kumar Punna filed three different petitions before the commission stating that they had invested Rs 50,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 15,000 with the Agri Gold Farm Estates Private Limited. As per the scheme, the investor would get double the amount within two years or he would get the land in Pariwar Sanders Project venture (towards security).

However, the company did not pay any amounts to the complainants on completion of the execution dates. The management was served notice on December 6, 2021 but none responded, they said.

Apart from directing the company to repay the amounts, the commissioner asked them to pay compensation and litigation expenses to the customers.
