Bengaluru: The Suryanagar police, probing the murder of BJP leader Harish, have reportedly arrested three more accused in the case. It is learnt that the police arrested the four accused - Raju alias Rajesh, Santosh, Karthik and Sandeep – on Thursday evening near Anekal. Among them Rajesh had revealed that they had plans to escape to Tamil Nadu and decided to assemble near Muthyala Maduvu Falls in the night. When the police took him there, to nab the other accused, he had attacked a policeman and the police had shot him.
"The questioning of the four accused has revealed that the victim, Harish, who was also a distant relative of the accused people, was frequently insulting them by scolding them in the presence of others. Early this week, he had allegedly scolded them over fishing, claiming that he had taken the tender for fishing in that particular lake. Also, the accused could not digest the fact that Harish's clout was growing in the locality. All these factors made them to hatch a plot to eliminate him and planned the murder well in advance," an official said. Meanwhile, the police are on the lookout for the other absconding accused in the case.
