Hyderabad: ACB sleuths nab official while accepting bribe

The ACB said Mr Hussain, who lodged a complaint against Suresh, is a pensioner.

Hyderabad: Junior assistant P. Suresh, serving at the office of the superintendent, prohibition and excise, Vikarabad, was caught red-handed accepting bribe to dole out an official favour. Suresh was caught inside the office premises while taking the last instalment of Rs 12,000 of a Rs 20,000-bribe from one Shaik Fayaz Hussain.

The ACB said Mr Hussain, who lodged a complaint against Suresh, is a pensioner. The bribe was meant to process and forward the pension papers pertaining to the family of his deceased brother. Sursh was arrested and produced before the special court for ACB cases.
