UP: Woman dies after delivering baby at health centre gate in Badaun

Asha Devi was denied permission to enter the health centre premises late last night, husband alleged.

Badaun: In an another case of alleged medical negligence in Uttar Pradesh, a pregnant woman died after delivering a baby girl at the gates of a primary health centre in Badaun.

Asha Devi, who was rushed to the health centre in Alapur township, was allegedly denied permission to enter its premises late last night, her husband Mukesh alleged.

The woman later delivered a baby girl in front of the gate and died this afternoon because of the infection. Her husband has demanded lodging of an FIR against the hospital staff for negligence.

Chief Medical Officer, Dr Sunil Wadhwa, said that an enquiry has been ordered and stern action will be taken against those found guilty.
