Chennai: Ex-councillor ends life, probe is on
Though she had not left behind any suicide note, police said she was worried about her husband's ill health for some time.

Chennai: Former AIADMK councillor residing at Perambur, Usha Perumal, committed suicide by hanging herself on Friday night, police said here.
Usha, 45, was a councillor from ward number 68 of Chennai corporation from the year 2011 to 2016. She was living with her husband and couple had no children.
Though she had not left behind any suicide note, police said she was worried about her husband’s ill health for some time.
“We are also looking to know if there was any kind of property dispute between her and her relatives which forced her to take the extreme step,” police noted.
A police team from Thiru. Vi. Ka police station had registered a case and are investigating.
