Tamil Nadu: Boy dies after stepping on live wire after rains

Coimbatore: A four-year-old boy was electrocuted near Singanallur after heavy rains lashed Coimbatore on Friday night. 

Nimalan, son of Aathi, 32, and a resident of Singanallur-Govindasamy layout, was playing in stagnant rainwater near his house. 

At around 8 pm while returning home, he accidentally stepped upon a live wire and was instantly thrown away. Hearing the cries of the little boy, neighbours came running and took him to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital where Nimalan died sometime past midnight. further investigations are on.
