Bengaluru: An armed five-member gang attacked and robbed a realtor, his friend and their car driver in T. Begur on the outskirts of the city.
The victims, Gurusiddanagowda, a realtor from Hospet, his friend Honnurappa from Karatgi in Koppal district and the driver Umesh were coming towards the city in their car when the incident took place in the early hours of Monday.
The car reached T. Beguru when the driver parked the car on the roadside to take a nap. Around 4.30 am, the trio were startled out of their sleep when their car windshield broke. In no time, the gang attacked the three and searched them for valuables. The gang decamped with mobiles and cash.
When the victims tried to raise an alarm, the gang attacked them and fled with their car. The victims then hired an autorickshaw and headed to a nearby hospital for treatment as Honnurappa and Umesh had sustained severe injuries.
Gurusiddanagowda approached Nelamangala police station and filed a complaint based on which police have registered a case of dacoity and are investigating.
