Hyderabad: Justice Ujjal Bhuyan of Telangana High Court on Monday reserved orders in the quash petition filed by B. Kripanandam, who was a secretary for industries in the undivided Andhra Pradesh. He sought deletion of his name from the CBI case related to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s quid pro quo cases.

He was one of the accused in the matter related to allotment of mining lease to Raghuram Cements. The CBI alleged that he had acted in a partisan manner in allotting the limestone mining lease to the Raghuram Cements ( Jagan's company).

Senior counsel  MRK Chowdary, representing the petitioner, on Monday argued  that the CBI had arrayed his client  as accused without having any evidence.  The counsel refuted the contention of CBI that the officer had rejected the renewal application of  Ambuja Cements Ltd, only to sanction the same to Raghuram Cements.
