Warangal: In a horrifying incident, the bride’s family set ablaze the groom’s house in an expression of anger over the marriage being performed without their permission and outside of their community. The incident took place at Indiranagar in Huzurabad of Karimnagar district on Tuesday.

Reports said Rajashekar and Sanjana of the same locality were in love for the past few years. The parents of Sanjan did not agree for the girl’s marriage with Rajashekar as he belonged to a different community.

The girl’s family had warned Rajashekar and his family to keep away from their daughter. But, the lovers ran away from their houses and got married at the Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple in Vemulawada on Tuesday and approached the Huzurabad police officials to seek protection.
