Brutal murder: Hyderabad techie stabbed to death

The killers, who came in a white car, stabbed Junge Sanjay two times.

Hyderabad: A 24-year-old techie was brutally murdered in the wee hours of Thursday in Secunder-abad.Police said the techie, Junge Sanjay, 24, was stabbed near Swapn-alok complex. The killers, who came in a car, stabbed Sanjay twice. The security men at the complex saw the incident and a police patrol car parked a few meters away from the spot and another patrol car chased the killers' vehicle, but they managed to escape.

Junge Sanjay, 24, a resident of Parsigutta, was working at Sutherland Global Services in Gachibowli. Though he was working in the 3 pm to 12 pm shift on Wednesday morning he left home at around 9.30 am, saying that he had to attend a test at Begumpet. After that he went to work. After work, he left office at around 12.30 am and with his friends went to a party. After the party, one of his colleagues, Kushal, dropped him at Punjagutta X Roads in his car.Later, at around 4 am, when Sanjay’s elder brother called him, he said that he was at Parade Grounds and was coming home. Around 5 am, he was attacked while he was walking past Swapnalok complex towards Paradise junction.

“A white Swift car came from behind and intercepted him. Three men alighted from the car and stabbed him on the chest and below the ribs on the left side,” north zone DCP N. Prakash Reddy said.

After the first stab Sanjay started shouting and tried to escape but the attackers chased and stabbed him again. The security men at Swapnalok saw this and whistled. At the same time a police patrol vehicle at Patny unction noticed something suspicious and rushed to the spot. But by the time Sanjay was lying in a pool of blood and the attackers had fled.

CCTV footage showed the car with the number 8055 written as 'BOSS’ speeding towards Paradise Hotel and from there they drove on the wrong lane till Ramgopalpet police station, switched lanes in front of the police station and sped towards Tank Bund.

“One patrol car from Patny Circle and another from Mahankali police station chased the vehicle. We also alerted the control room. But we lost the car after it reached the Telugu Talli flyover,” added the DCP.Other patrol vehicles also could not track the vehicle. Special teams have been formed to track down the vehicle and the attackers.
