Hyderabad: CID sleuths busted a sex racket by arresting 35 organisers, including 21 women, after raiding a brothel at Sadashivpet in Medak.  Police rescued 10 minor girls and 20 other sex workers. Police said the sex workers and minor girls were brought from Telangana and Karnataka.

The gang had been running the brothel in a building divided into small rooms. They had also deployed guards outside the brothel. “They kept dogs outside to prevent raids. There were around 30 dogs when we went there,” said CID IGP Saumya Misra.  The gang also produced Aadhaar cards and other fake documents to make the sex workers their relatives.

The organisers had been running the brothel for years secretly in the village. A 17-year-old girl, who was rescued by the police from Jagathgirigutta ended up in sex rackets again. When CID raided the brothels at Sadashivpet, they were stunned to find the same girl inside. It is suspected the one of the suspects pretended to be her uncle and got the girl’s custody.

The CID seized Rs 4,85,260, account books, registers and a huge quantity of condoms. The 10 minors were produced before the Child Welfare Committee of Medak District. The 35 traffickers and two customers were produced in court. They were remanded to 15 days judicial custody.
