Bengaluru: 2 killed in separate accidents
Vasanth died on the way to hospital, while Bharat is undergoing treatment.
Bengaluru: Two people were killed, while another was injured in two separate accidents in the city.
In Hebbal traffic police limits, Vasanth Kumar, 25, a resident of Kodigehalli, was killed, while his friend Bharat Kumar, a resident of Gangenahalli, sustained injuries after their car toppled after ramming into a road median. Both were classmates in BA and were searching for jobs.
The police said that Bharat had gone to Vasanth’s house for dinner on Saturday night. After the dinner, Vasanth was going to drop Bharat in a car. Around 11 pm, they were passing near Motherhood Hospital on Kempegowda International Airport Road. Vasanth, while trying to overtake a vehicle, reportedly lost control and rammed the car into the road median. Because of the impact, the car toppled and both sustained grave injuries. Vasanth died on the way to hospital, while Bharat is undergoing treatment.
In another incident reported in Malleswaram traffic police limits, a pedestrian aged around 50 died after he was knocked down by a KSRTC bus near Navarang Theatre on Dr Rajkumar Road around 10 am on Sunday. The deceased, Jayaram, was a resident of Rajagopalanagar.
