Hyderabad: Man held for harassing woman cop

Police said the suspect had a history of harassing women on mobiles and was an alcohol addict.

Hyderabad: The suspect who had harassed an inspector of the Women’s Police Station was nabbed by the police in Indore. Police said the suspect had a history of harassing women on mobiles and was an alcohol addict. 

He will be produced in a local court. Inspector G. Madhavi Latha, the Station House Officer of the Women’s Police Station has lodged a complaint with the City Cyber Crime Cell stating that she was being harassed by a stranger on the phone late in the night and abused her. Though she informed the caller that she was a police officer he continued to harass her. Fed up, she lodged a complaint and a case for outraging the modesty of a woman and criminal intimidation were registered. Using his mobile number he was traced in Indore in Madhya Pradesh.
