Junior advocate lends Rs 2 crore to BS Yeddyurappa's lawyer, issues threat

Bengaluru: A junior advocate working under BJP state president B.S. Yeddyurappa's advocate Sandeep Patil has been arrested by the Vidhana Soudha police for issuing a life threat to Patil.

The arrested advocate has been identified as Chandrashekhar Wali Shettar. It is learnt that Shettar had lent Rs 2 crore to Patil. Shettar who was in need of money asked Patil to return it, but Patil reportedly never returned the money.

Angry with Patil’s behaviour, Shettar recently went to his office and allegedly issued a life threat to him in his absence. Later, Shettar also abused and tried to assault Patil on the court premises, following which Patil filed a complaint, leading to Shettar’s arrest. Shettar is now in judicial custody.

Though the incident took place a few days ago, it came to light on Sunday.
