Andhra Pradesh High Court directs Lokesh to attend AP-CID probe on October 10
Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday directed Telugu Desam national general secretary N. Lokesh to appear before the AP-CID on October 10 in connection with a probe into irregularities in the alignment of the Amaravati Inner Ring Road.
A single judge bench headed by Justice K. Srinivasa Reddy heard the matter and asked the AP-CID to conduct the inquiry in the case from 10 am to 5 pm on October 10, give Lokesh an hour lunch break in the afternoon, and allow an advocate to be with him during the probe at a distance.
The court's direction comes after the AP-CID served a notice under Section 41-A of the CrPC to Lokesh and asked him to attend the probe at its office in Mangalagiri on October 4. The notice also asked Lokesh to bring documents pertaining to the purchase of lands for Heritage Foods.
