Hyderabad: Escaped convict arrested from Medchal Railway station

Hyderabad: A convict who escaped from the Chanchalguda Prison escorts earlier last month was arrested by Kushaiguda police on Saturday. The 24-year-old-man committed a theft in Nizamabad in the interim, the police said. 

Kushaiguda Police Inspector K. Chandra Shekar said, “While being brought to the city to lodge in Chanchalguda jail by two escorts via bus on October 24, he escaped from the vehicle.” 

Absconding since then, on Saturday, based on a tip-off, Kushaiguda police nabbed him from Medchal Railway Station, said the official.
