Suicide of Ayyappa devotee leads to protests in Nellore

 Anantapur: The suicide of a youth who was on an Ayyappa deeksha has led to protests in Nellore district. The youth's family members allege that the police failed to do justice to him, which prompted him to take his own life.

According to the family, Vinay was thrashed by a group of men in the Buchi area of Nellore. The police were on the spot, but they allegedly failed to support the victim and brought him to the police station instead. Hurt by the police's inaction, Vinay died by suicide at his residence.

Vinay's family has accused Shabir, Munna, Monaf, Farooq, and others of attacking him. They have also released a video of the attack on social media.

Ayyappa devotees have staged protests in Nellore demanding justice for Vinay's family. They have called for the arrest of the accused and action against the police officials who failed to take action against the attackers.
