Hyderabad: A 25-year-old man from Hassannagar in Rajendranagar was booked for reportedly attending to nature’s call near a place of worship. The incident took place on Sunday, after locals caught the man in the act and lodged a complaint.

The accused was booked under Sections 295 and 295 A of IPC and he would be remanded to judicial custody, said Rajendranagar police.

At about 12 am on Sunday, one Siraj, 25, of Hassannagar was seen urinating at a place of worship in NTR Nagar. The locals saw this and handed him over to his family members.

They then lodged a complaint with the police stating that Siraj has done this thrice earlier. He was counselled by elders and asked to not repeat it, but he did not change his behaviour, and intentionally insulted the feelings of the people.

Following the complaint, the Rajendranagar police booked a case against the accused under sections 295 and 295 – A of IPC, for the probe.

Rajendranagar sub-inspector Mohammed Majid Ali said “The sections booked against the accused are non-bailable. He will be nabbed and produced before the court for the judicial remand.”
