Kasargod: Four, including three of a family, die in car crash

Kasargod: Four persons, including three members of a family, were killed when the car in which they were travelling to Mangalore collided with a lorry near Uppala early on Wednesday.  

They were identified as Ramanarayanan, 55, an Ayurveda doctor from Chelakkara, Thrissur,  his wife Valsala, 38, son Ranjith, 20, and his friend Nidhin, 20. Ranjith and Nidhin were third-year BAMS students of an ayurveda college in Mangalore.

The accident took place around 4.30 a.m. and the police suspect that the driver of the lorry might have slept off.  

The bodies, which  were taken out by cutting open the car,  were released to the relatives after post-mortem in  Manjeswaram and Mangalpadi hospitals.
