Police books Hayathnagar corporator Sama Tirumal Reddy
Mr Tirumal Reddy denied the allegations and said they are false statements.
Hyderabad: Vanasthalipuram police registered a case against Hayathnagar corporator Sama Tirumal Reddy for trespass, criminal intimidation and wilful insult with intent to provoke breach of peace.
A resident complained that the corporator had trespassed into their house, abused them and also filmed the women in their home on his mobile phone. Mr Tirumal Reddy denied the allegations and said they are false statements.
P. Linga Reddy, a resident of Sushmasainagar colony in Vanasthali-puram, said in his complaint that on Monday, Hayathnagar corporator barged into his house and started filming the women with his mobile phone. He said that when he told to stop filming the women, Tirumal Reddy threatened him saying that he can enter any house without permission and nobody can stop him.
Based on LInga Reddy's complaint, police registered a case. “We are examining witnesses,” inspector S. Murali Krishna said.
Tirumal Reddy said the allegations made by LInga Reddy were false. He said that he did not enter Linga Reddy’s house or film women. He said they went to his house along with GHMC workers to tell him not to dump waste from his home on the road. “When he picked up an argument with us and started shouting at us one of our workers recorded it on his mobile phone for evidence. Since the case is registered let the police inquire into it and take action,” he said, adding that he will not allow any resident in his division to go against the Swach Hyderabad spirit.
