Over 630 challaned for drunken driving in capital
Drunken driving is one of the five traffic offences which can amount to suspension of driver's licence for three months.

New Delhi: Over 630 people have been challaned for drunken driving in the national capital in the last two days.
"Delhi Traffic Police has launched special drive against drunken driving. 634 drunk drivers have been challaned & 289 vehicles impounded in last 2 days," Delhi Police said in a series of tweets today.
"1622 people have lost their lives in road accidents in Delhi last year (2015). Be responsible while driving, care for yourself and others (sic)," it said in the tweets.
In pursuant to the recommendations of the committee for road safety set up by Supreme Court, drunken driving is one of the five traffic offences which can amount to suspension of driver's licence for three months.
