Hyderabad: Depressed over being detained in the third-year of engineering for failing in the examination, a 23-year-old girl committed suicide at her home in KPHB on Thursday. She hung to the ceiling using a cloth and left a note for her parents about her disappointment in failing in the examinations, said KPHB police.
Aishwarya Desai, 23, along with her mother Anitha Desai lived at Manjeera Majestic Homes in KPHB Colony. As her father Murali Mohan Desai has been working in London for some time, the girl and her mother were living in the city in a flat.
KPHB police said, “The girl’s mother noticed a note on the table mentioning that she was detained in the third year and was disappointed.” A suspicious death case has been registered.
