Hyderabad: Mailardevpally police of Cyberabad commissionerate arrested five members of a gang involved in making and circulating fake currency and seized currency valued Rs 1 lakh from them. The gang printed currency in denominations of Rs 500, Rs 200 and Rs 100 and started circulating them in market areas at Katedan under Mailardevpally police station limits.

B. Gangadhar, ACP Rajendranagar division said they were caught while moving suspiciously in the market area. On questioning, they admitted to circulating fake currency in the market. They were arrested and sent to judicial remand, he said.
