Police arrest fake baba for running nude photos racket

Hyderabad: Chandrayangutta police on Sunday nabbed a fraudster from Salala Barkas in the city, who called himself a ‘baba’ and bluffed women into posing for nude pictures after promising that they would have ‘noton ki barish (a shower of money).’

The accused Syed Hussani, an autorickshaw driver, apparently sent the pictures to his handler in Kalburagi (Gulbarga), Karnataka, who ostensibly used to predict if the woman would have ‘money showered on her’.

Hussaini, 31, a native of Basavakalyan, also in Karnataka, had come to the city 15 days back and was indulging in black magic in a rented house.

After receiving a complaint from a victim, Chandryangutta police arrested Hussaini.

During interrogation he confessed to the crime. Sources revealed that he was supported by a local nexus of other fake babas who trapped women by telling them that they would get rich of they met Hussaini, ocal sources said.

Police recovered over 470 nude pictures from Hussaini’s mobile. “He is a fake baba. We have registered a case of Black Magic Act against him,” Shaik Jahangir, ACP Falaknuma division, said.
